Welcome to the Vintage Workshop machines and tools website , this site is currently still being set up , but keep watching , it will soon have interesting photos and info' of wonderful old vintage machines and tools mainly from the 1800's through to approx' 1930  although not completely limited to that period , but mainly to do with the tools / machines and skills of the colonial period , i.e. . Blacksmith Tinsmith Wheelwright  Shipwright  Carpenter  Cooper  Saddler  Cobbler  Watch/Clockmaker  Jeweller  Coach builder  and   Early Auto mechanic & Workshop Engineer , with a heavy interest in treadled and hand cranked machines and a little of very early electric powered hand tools and flat belt driven machines.

The site is a photo album of tools and machinery in a private collection which will eventually be assembled into a working workshop to display privately and online through this site to show the use of the old tools / machines and skills, there will also be a diary of current restoration projects for you to follow, and eventually a news letter you can sign-up for if you want updates on anything new and relevant .

There will also be a listing of useful books i have used or recommend that are related to the above topics that you can link to from this site to purchase from Amazon books , book purchases made when linked from here will help maintain this site but will cost you no more than the normal Amazon prices - thank you in advance for using this link. (link coming shortly)

It is our intention to promote the saving and restoring of wonderful old cool looking tools and machines for future generations to enjoy ....  and to share info' , helpful hints and links to other people / groups or forums & clubs doing the same,

happy hunting
